To Whom It May Concern:

_______________________  is  applying to attend GirlsFilmSchool.  GirlsFilmSchool is a one week,  non-residential summer program that involves  intensive study in film and video making at the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico.  We are looking for talented, creative young women with a desire to explore the creative possibilities of film, video and new media.

Our application process is designed to help us get to know our applicants as well as possible.  Part of that process includes two letters of recommendation for the student.  While we are interested in her academic performance, we are more concerned with understanding how the student will interact with other filmmakers at the program, and how she will act upon her interest in filmmaking.  We appreciate your candid and thoughtful answers to the recommendation questions.

Attached, you will find a recommendation form that asks you to assess her capabilities in short answers or in multiple-choice questions.  Please fill out the form completely including your contact information.  You should return the form in a sealed envelope to the student, or it can be faxed or mailed directly to GirlsFilmSchool by 5 pm,  Monday,  May 15, 2006.

Thank you for your time and attention.  If you have any questions about the letter of recommendation or would like more information about GirlsFilmSchool please contact Josie Viviano,  Director 505-473-6409 or via e-mail at girlsfilmschool@csf.edu.
